We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Server and Storage Pre-Sales Engineer to
support our sales team by providing technical expertise, solution design, and customer-focused
presentations. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between the technical and sales teams,
understanding customer needs and designing tailored server and storage solutions to meet
business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Technical Expertise and Consultation:
- o Act as a subject matter expert on server and storage solutions.
- o Analyze client needs and recommend tailored solutions that align with their business objectives.
- o Provide technical consultation to the sales team and customers during the pre sales process.
- 2. Solution Design and Proposal:
- o Design and propose server and storage architectures, ensuring scalability,reliability, and performance.
- o Create detailed technical documentation, including system configurations,workflows, and architecture diagrams.
- o Prepare and deliver high-quality technical presentations and demonstrations to clients.
- 3. Customer Engagement and Support:
- o Collaborate with customers to understand their technical requirements and pain points.
- o Address technical queries and concerns raised by customers during the sales process.
- o Build strong relationships with clients by demonstrating technical expertise and understanding their business needs.
- 4. Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- o Work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities and develop strategic account plans.
- o Collaborate with product and engineering teams to stay updated on new server and storage offerings.
- o Assist in the preparation of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and technical bid responses.
- 5. Industry Trends and Knowledge Sharing:
- o Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in servers, storage systems, and data center solutions.
- o Provide training and guidance to the sales team on technical aspects of server and storage solutions.
- o Participate in industry events, conferences, and workshops to enhance expertise.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- • Proven experience in pre-sales engineering, with a focus on servers, storage systems,
- or data center solutions.
- • Strong understanding of server and storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, RAID,
- and virtualization platforms.
- • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical
- concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- • Experience with solution design tools and software.
- • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple
- projects.
